The Information Technology Professionals Association of America (ITPAA), a high-tech advocacy group based in Wilmington, Delaware has handed out its first Weasel Award of 2006 to Senate hopeful Harris Miller (Democrat) of Virginia. The organization, representing over 1,200 professionals nationally, presents the award to business and political leaders that it believes betrays the trust of the American people and threatens America’s standing in the technology sector.

The IT Professionals Association of America (ITPAA) has awarded its second
Weasel Award of 2005 to Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates for his recent remarks
supporting the lifting of restrictions on the H-1b visa.
The Information Technology Professionals Association of America (ITPAA), an
advocacy group based in Wilmington, Delaware representing professionals in the
high-tech field has handed out its second Weasel Award of 2005 to Microsoft
Chairman Bill Gates for his comments calling for the unrestricted importation
of high-tech workers into the United States under the H-1b visa program. The

Scott Kirwin, founder of the organization, states, "We are tired of Democrats
pretending they care about the problems facing average Americans. Senator Clinton's

Ed Note: Everything is connected. When companies outsource to save a
few million yet pay their execs in the tens of millions of dollars, something
is wrong. An economist would site such pay as market failure: we think it's
disgusting, anti-capitalist and anti-American. How these guys (they're all white
men) can sleep well at night is proof in the power of Prozac or Single-Malt
- I'm not sure which.

Time Warner Inc. quadrupled the pay of Chief Executive Richard Parsons to $13.9
million last year, while the company's shares failed to recover all the value
lost during his tenure.
At Gillette Co., James Kilts' compensation jumped 59 percent to $17.6 million.
Shares climbed 21 percent.
